ABOUT SSC

The Sector Skills Council has a mandate under the NSQF to promote Skill development in the Building sector. Therefore, its aims are to develop, establish, standardize and sustain Industry Competency Frameworks, Skills Levels, Occupational Standards, and oversee the development and delivery of capacity, investment and skilling outcomes which shall meet or exceed Construction Industry (Building sector) expectations.

Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria was given the licence by National Board for Technical Education on……….to operate as a Sector Skills Council. However, with the formal Inauguration of the SSC Board Members by the Honourable Minister of Works & Housing on 28th January, 2021, the SSC became a full pledged Council while CORBON provides the Secretariat.
